GRAND PRAIRIE, Texas -

A police chase through Grand Prairie ended with a flat tires and a fire.

Police said officers had been watching a suspect and began following him after he got into a black car with another man about 11 a.m. Thursday along Collins Street in Arlington.

The suspects refused to pull over and kept going even after another car hit them several miles into the chase.

At one point during the 20 minute chase, the passenger in the suspect's car jumped out of the car and tried to run away, but was apprehended by police. He faces charges for evading on foot.

The chase ended when the two front tires of the suspect's car went flat, stopping the car. Those tires caught fire as the vehicle slowed near Fuller-Wise Road and Harwood Court in Euless.

The driver faces felony evading charges and had previous warrant out for his arrest on a drug-related offense.

Police said the driver was not the person they were originally looking for and he still remains at-large on unlawful restraint charges.
