KING OF PRUSSIA, Pa. -

18-year-old Christa Rodriguez, a senior at Upper Merion High School, is battling a second bout of Hodgkins Lymphoma. She has always dreamed of one day meeting her idol, Miley Cyrus, and now a Twitter campaign is trying to make her wish come true.

#MileyVisitChrista it's trending nationally on Twitter, which the modern equivalent of shouting from the rooftops.

"I am losing a lot of my senior year because I am not there for a week or so at a time because I am in the hospital or recovering from hospital," Rodriguez said.

Recovering from treatments for Hodgekins Lymphoma, Christa's story has brought thousands of strangers together on social media.

"I told myself I'd do anything to make this happen," twin sister Julia Rodriguez said.

Christa's identical twin Julia started the hashtag after her sister's treatment pushed back plans to go to Miley's Philly concert on April 22nd. But the power of social media surprises even her.

"This morning I woke up and I saw people tweeting it's trending, and I freaked out and I looked and there it was with all the other hashtags," Julia said.

"It feels so good to have so many people supporting you and being there for you because you feel alone when you're in a hospital room 2251. I have even wider support than the people visiting me because they're tweeting and messaging me personally and it's important to me and special," Christa said.

So far no word from Miley, but the buzz is only getting louder.
