Teen With Cancer Gets Heartwarming Surprise By Students

Posted: Updated:

A 15-year old cancer patient received a surprise she will never forget.

Two years ago Kennedy Brown was diagnosed with brain cancer. It has now gotten so bad that she is in hospice care, and is unable to attend school.

Brown was recently granted a special trip back to Carnegie Vanguard High School in Houston, Texas, where her six closest friends had a surprise waiting for her.

The group organized a surprise prom in only two days. When Brown arrived, they all dressed up in gowns and line danced before crowing her prom queen.

"She had no idea. We kept a surprise for her," Campbell said.

"To see her go through this... it just makes me really sad," said Lyric Baldridge.

"I serenaded her. I wrote the song I sang to her ask her out to prom," said Alex Carranza

Brown, a Big Houston rockets fan, also got a surprise visit from Clutch, the team's mascot.
