A Frisco couple received some of their personal belongings taken in their son's murder investigation on Friday afternoon.
Arnav Dhawan, 10, was found dead in January and his mother, Pallavi, was charged with his murder.
A judge ordered the police department to return some items taken under search warrant by the end of the day on Friday.
Among the items the Dhawan's got back: a backpack, Arnav's favorite books and school work.
"This is all that we wanted. His journal, his school stuff," said Sumeet, the boy's father. "All we have is just memories, now."
Passports, a fax machine, the family's SUV and computer hard drives were not returned by police.
