ST. PAUL, Minn. (KMSP) -

St. Paul police are questioning a man after a heated argument inside a vehicle during rush hour turned violent, leaving a woman in critical condition with a gunshot wound to the head. The suspect has been identified as Timothy Scott Hendricks, 19 of Saint Paul.

According to police, Hendricks, who knew the victim shot her near the intersection of White Bear and Minnehaha avenues shortly after 5 p.m.

Investigators spent hours at the scene, but they would not say whether the woman was shot in or near the blue Highlander -- only that they knew who they were looking for almost immediately.

Officers also alluded to the possibility that there may have been others in the car when the shooting took place.
