Woman dies in auto wreck on 380 in Frisco

Posted: Updated:

A woman was killed when the minivan she was driving struck construction equipment being towed in Frisco.

Frisco police said the vehicles collided shortly before 1 p.m. on Thursday at Preston Road and US 380.

The driver of the minivan, Betty Tucich, 69, was pronounced dead at the scene. Investigators believe the dump truck hauling the equipment was stopping at a signal light when the minivan, traveling behind, hit the rear of the flat bed trailer that had construction equipment being towed.

Both cars were traveling eastbound on 380 and were approaching the Preston Road light.

An official cause of the crash has not been determined.
