Man shot and killed at Arlington park

Posted: Updated:

A man was arrested Friday for killing one man and injuring another in a Thursday night shooting in a public park in Arlington.

Police said Deaudrik Clayton and the two victims had a run-in before midnight at the Marti Van Ravensway Park off Bowman Springs Road.

Police believe the victims were with a group that had been involved in an earlier altercation with another group.

The two groups agreed to meet up again at the park and that's when Clayton pulled out a gun.

Brince Shaw, 21, was killed and Timothy Pickens, 21, was also shot but is expected to survive.

Clayton is being held at the Arlington city jail on a murder and aggravated assault charge.
