Man charged with DWI in Plano crash that injured 4

A man was charged Thursday night in a crash that involved a car hitting four people, according to a spokesperson with the Plano Police Department.

Benjamin Newman was arrested and charged with DWI and accident involving injury.

The crash happened at 10:30 p.m. at the Hangout Bar & Grill in the 3300 block of North Central Expressway.

Police say Newman struck four people with his vehicle and then left the scene.

An officer later located the vehicle near Central and Spring Creek.

Two of the victims sustained injuries ranging from serious to life-threatening, and the other two were treated and released at the scene.
