Phoenix Police have identified a woman who was killed in an shooting in west Phoenix on Friday night.

Police say they responded to an apartment complex near 16th Avenue and Camelback for a report of gunshots fired, just after 10 p.m. on Friday. 

Officers discovered 27-year-old Donna Nez had been shot. She was rushed to the hospital where she later died.

According to Phoenix Police spokesperson Sgt. Steve Martos, witnesses reported seeing four men and two women running from the scene right after the shots were heard.  Police are continuing their investigation of this homicide.
