ROCKDALE COUNTY, Ga. - The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office is asking for help in identifying a body found in the woods several years ago. According to a Rockdale Sheriff Facebook post, the skeletal remains of an unidentified man was discovered near Salem Road in 2010.

Authorities say that an autopsy result revealed that the body was that of a 15 to 25-year-old black male between 5’4” and 5’10”.

The autopsy also revealed that the remains had been there for approximately six months before it had been discovered. Investigators say that no foul play is suspected in this incident.

Georgia Bureau of Investigation artists performed a facial reconstruction to show what the man might have looked like.
The Rockdale County Sheriff’s Office says it has worked several potential leads on the body’s identity, but has not been successful.

Anyone with information on the identity of this man is asked to contact investigators at 770-278-8169 or submit a tip at https://www.crimereports.com/agency/RCSO.
