Man arrested on fed. charges considered person of interest in McKinney murder

Posted: Updated:
A McKinney man has been arrested for federal ammunition charges and is considered a person of interest in a deadly shooting last week.

Corey Evans, 29, was arrested by the ATF and is being held in Hunt County.

McKinney police say he is one of several persons of interest in the murder of Thaddeus Williams.

Williams’ body was found last week in the backyard of Evans’ home. He had been shot several times.

McKinney police are still looking for other people possibly connected to the murder.

Evans' federal case is being turned over to the U.S. Attorney's Office.
