WEST BLOOMFIELD, Mich. (WJBK)  -- A reward is being offered as police continue to their search for three suspects who robbed a high-end jewelry store in Oakland County earlier this week.

The West Bloomfield Police Department and the Kent County Sheriff's announced up to $17,000 in reward money for information leading to an arrest and conviction.

Authorities say three men robbed Tapper's Diamond and Fine Jewelry, and could be connected to another robbery the same day in Plainfield, Mich. The suspects made off with thousands of dollars in Rolex watches in each incident.

West Bloomfield Police Lt. Curt Lawson says a 911 call was placed by an employee at Tapper's Diamonds & Fine Jewelry around 5:15 p.m. Tuesday. Tapper's workers reported that three black males entered the store on Orchard Lake Road and demanded merchandise.

Lawson says two suspects were armed with handguns and the third suspect had a hammer. The robbers forced the employees to the ground during the incident. One suspect pointed a gun at an employee until the a case holding the watches was opened.

Police say they got into a newer-model Chrysler Town and Country, which was parked and waiting behind the building.

If you have any information that could lead to an arrest in the case, you are asked to contact the West Bloomfield Police at (248) 975-9200,  or Crime Stoppers of South East Michigan 1 (888) SPEAK UP.
