Chasing New Jersey Honored With A Resolution

Posted: Updated:
Trenton, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Chasing New Jersey just passed their 200th episode and the New Jersey General Assembly delivered a resolution congratulating the show on passing that milestone!

The resolution was sponsored by friend of the show, Assemblyman Declan O’Scanlon who is proud of what the news magazine has accomplished in less than a year.

“200 episodes, Holy Heck! Congratulations guys. I’m glad you got a kick out of our setting a resolution, you deserve it. It’s the most edgy news show on TV these days, you keep up the production as it is and we’ll keep watching-it’s a great show. Here’s to 2,000 more episodes! Congratulations on the first 200 keep going,” O’Scanlon encouraged.

Declan’s wife and actress Heather O’Scanlon, fellow Chasing guest Kevin Beetel of Good Times Hunting, and a Thomas Paine actor all joined in on the fun while the resolution was read out loud on last night’s show.

“The General Assembly of the state of New Jersey is pleased to honor and salute Chasing New Jersey, an esteemed nightly news program in recognition of its 200th broadcast which will be marked and celebrated on April 24, 2014 and whereas it is all together proper and fitting for the members of the New Jersey General Assembly to acknowledge and to salute Chasing New Jersey as an important and praise-worthy news program in the Garden State. Now, therefore, be it resolved by the General Assembly of the state of New Jersey that this house hereby honors and congratulates Chasing New Jersey in recognition of its 200th broadcast commends its media innovations and excellence and extends its sincere best wishes for its continued success and vigor.”

The lake is called Lake Hopatcong but some would call it Lake "Hopat-conda"! Recently, there was a fifteen-foot anaconda spotted in the lake by local resident Tony Colantonio. According to Colantonio, the snake was actually harassing him while he was swimming in the lake so he proceeded to sprint out with no harm done."It was straight across, right where the boat is but a little further back. And I just got out of the water and just took off like a bandit!" He said.

The crisis in Israel continues to grow as the Israeli’s defend themselves against Hamas terrorist groups. Yesterday a slew of politicians and hundreds of New Jersey residents showed up to a rally in the Garden State to help support Israel as the conflict with Palestinian terror group Hamas gets even worse. Many people at the rally, like Carol Berman, say they’re concerned about the safety of relatives in Israel and that this conflict hits home.
