Heisman Habitat for Humanity house built in Dallas

Posted: Updated:
DALLAS - Former Heisman Trophy winners helped to raise the walls on a new Habitat for Humanity home Saturday.

A pair of former Heisman winners with Dallas ties helped with the effort as well. Dallas native Tim Brown and Dallas Cowboy legend Roger Staubach were there to help with the home for a Dallas family.

Other Heisman Trophy winners taking part include Billy Sims, Ricky Williams and George Rogers.

The effort was a partnership between Nissan, Habitat for Humanity and the Heisman Trophy Trust.

Construction started at 8:00 a.m. at 2314 Exeter Avenue in East Oak Cliff Gardens in Dallas.
