Cicero man stabbed to death in Little Village

A west suburban Cicero man was stabbed to death in the Little Village neighborhood early Sunday.

Benito Juarez, 40, was walking in the 4100 block of West 26th Street about 4:40 a.m. when he was approached by several males, police said. An argument ensued, and Juarez was stabbed in the throat.

Juarez, of the 2100 block of South 50th Avenue in Cicero, was taken to Mount Sinai Hospital where he was pronounced dead at 5:24 a.m., according to the Cook County Medical Examiner’s office.

The stabbing may have been gang-related, according to a police source.

No one was in custody as Area Central detectives investigated.
