PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

Police received a 911 call from a group of employees who reported their co-worker had been kidnapped.  That quick call for help led police straight to the suspect, who was arrested near 30th Street and Washington.

According to Sgt. Steve Martos, this happened at 1:45 p.m. Monday.  The suspect took his ex-girlfriend from her job near 14th Street and Grant at knife point.  The victim's co-workers got a good description of the suspect's vehicle and called the police.  Officers later found the car at the Shell gas station near 30th Street and Washington, pulled the car over and arrested the suspect.

The victim was treated for bruises.

"She had some bumps and bruises.. she's going to be checked out at a local hospital," said Sgt. Keith Doherty.  "Right now, he's looking at a bare minimum of kidnapping, aggravated assault and possibly some additional minor charges."

The suspect's name has not been released.
