Heavy rain causes flooding in Tristate

Posted: Updated:
MYFOXNY.COM/AP - Another day of rain made it difficult to dry off from a storm that brought several inches of rain to the Tristate region a day earlier. The rain was so steady and heavy that flooding was widespread. The NYC Office of Emergency Management urged New Yorkers who sustained flooding damage to their homes or businesses to report it to the city information line at 311.

Spotty showers and thunderstorms remained a threat on Thursday.

A mudslide in Yonkers caused delays on Metro-North's Hudson line Wednesday night. The mudslide impacted the Thursday morning commute. Hudson Line train service was delayed in the area of the mudslide.

Many counties in the tristate were under flood warnings and flood watches.

Parts of low-lying Route 130 in Camden and Gloucester Counties were closed Wednesday because of flooding.

The rain washed out the Yankees game in the Bronx and the Mets game in Philadelphia. Both games are rescheduled for June 2.
