GROSSE POINTE SHORES, Mich. (WJBK) -- Police say a body has been found along Lake St. Clair near the Grosse Pointe Yacht Club.

A construction worker made the discovery Wednesday morning in the waters near Lakeshore Drive and Vernier Road.

FOX 2 has confirmed the body found is that of Marcus Braggs, a boater who had been missing since April 13 when he took a friend's boat out alone to do some fishing.

Scott Rohr with the Grosse Pointe Shores public safety department says the body appeared to have been in the water for some time. Rohr says foul play isn't suspected.

The boat Braggs was using was found overturned in the water the day he went missing. Authorities searched searched the area using aircraft, several boats, a dive team and a side-scan sonar. They called off the search after 17 hours.
