North Texas leaders visiting sriracha plant

Posted: Updated:
DALLAS - Texas business and political leaders are heading to California this week hoping to convince the owner of a hot sauce factory to move here.

A Denton city council member and a state representative from Dallas will visit the sriracha plant near Los Angeles.

The city council in the California suburb declared the plant a nuisance because of its noxious fumes.

The owner has said he has no plans to move, but might expand production.

There are reports he is looking at a site near San Antonio so that the peppers could be grown near the plant.
