Let it Rip Weekend: Mayoral race and EM's 'dumb & lazy' comment

We take on the race for Detroit Mayor and the controversial comments by Detroit's EM calling Detroiters "dumb, lazy, happy and rich."
A new poll shows Mike Duggan leading in the race for Detroit Mayor. Could those dirty tricks against him actually be paying off in his favor? Duggan supporter and community activist Malik Shabazz thinks
Kevyn Orr's grand bargain for Detroit's bankruptcy relies on $350 million from the state to backfill pensions and protect the art at the DIA.  But some retirees and outside groups are routing for Lansing lawmakers to vote against it.  Scott Hagerstrom is from one of those groups, Americans for Prosperity Michigan.  He calls any taxpayer money earmarked for Detroit tent amount to a bailout and thinks Detroit should be selling off some of its assets to get out of bankruptcy.  David Sole is a Detroit city retiree who thinks that grand bargain isn't grand enough.  He thinks cutting his pension, even by a penny is downright robbery and believes the big banks should chip in to protect his retirement.

Next, we move on the the problems plaguing the John Conyers campaign.  It seems some of the people hired to gather signatures for the longtime Detroit congressman weren't registered to vote, which is a violation of state law.  If he doesn't have enough signatures (and right now it appears he doesn't) he'd have to launch a write-in campaign to make it to the November general election.  So how could this happen?  We ask political consultant Skip Mongo, who was hired to do work for the Conyers campaign.  Joining him is former city hall insider Karen Dumas and political activist Ron Scott.

Also, that same panel takes on the issue of the Michigan State Police crackdown on Belle Isle.  Is MSP going too far when they pull people over or is the strict enforcement long overdue?
