Loyola hires professor once accused of sexual assault

CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Loyola University in Chicago has hired a former Vatican ambassador who was once accused of sexually harassing two colleagues while he was teaching at the University of Dayton.

Miguel Diaz was never charged for the accusations. But, he was warned he would be fired is he had any further contact with a married couple teacher at the University of Dayton. The couple felt Diaz was harassing them.

Diaz is scheduled to begin work at Loyola University on July 1.

The university did not comment on the report involving the University of Dayton.
