Jogger nearly kidnapped near downtown Fort Worth

FORT WORTH, Texas - Police are looking for an armed man who attacked a jogger near downtown Fort Worth.

The female victim said the man tried to kidnap her at gunpoint while she was out in the 1400 block of W. 5th Street Sunday morning.

An elderly couple in the area heard her screams and rushed over to help. The attacker ran away, police said.

He is described as a black man who is between 25 and 30 years old, about 6 feet tall and 150 to 160 pounds. He was wearing a purple shirt and jeans.
