CHICAGO (Associated Press) -

Harold Ramis' Chicago high school plans to name its theater after the late writer, director and actor.

Nicholas Senn High School officials say they'll formally dedicate the "Harold Ramis Theater" on May 17. A screening of Ramis' movie "Groundhog Day" will follow the ceremony.

Ramis graduated from the high school on Chicago's North Side in 1962. He returned to his alma mater about a decade ago to participate in the Principal for a Day program.

Ramis died in February at age 69 at his home in the Chicago suburbs after suffering from an autoimmune disease.
