The NWS meteorologists looked at the debris patterns in West Dallas, East Dallas, Oak Lawn and the Park Cities and said there was no indication of rotation from a tornado.
Winds were as high as 80 miles per hour in some areas.
Tens of thousands of homes and businesses lost power in the storms, but Oncor said as of Friday after noon there were less than 2,000 outages.
A West Dallas church suffered some of the worst damage, but the pastor said they will still have services on Sunday.?
