CHICAGO (FOX 32 News) - Kyle Fuller entered Halas Hall Friday as the newest member of the Bears.

The teams first round draft pick arrived in Chicago and is on a whirlwind meeting teammates, the media, interviews, pictures, and his first trip to Soldier Field.

"I fit in well here," the 22-year-old said with a smile.

Fuller's got minimal Chicago experience, but in the last 24 hours he's become the talk of the town. He was welcomed by his new teammates and the Bears staff, and even the media -- we were kind.

His life has changed and he's humbly embracing it, which is exactly why Phil Emery felt he wasn't such a risk. The Bears GM saw a fast, athletic hard hitting cornerback last September. Every other person on staff confirmed his findings. Then Fuller visited Halas Hall, officially, and what they saw on the field matched with his personality.

The Bears war room was ecstatic that he was available at 14th overall.

He'll learn from two pro-bowlers in Charles Tillman and Tim Jennings. He also comes from a football family. The third of his four brothers to play in the NFL. They were all with him, including his parents, Thursday night when the call came in.

Here's what Kyle brings to the field as the highest rated cornerback on the Bears draft board: Toughness, length, skill, versatility, and productivity. He's hard nosed and has the willingness to get the job done. He also has a great vision for tackling. This is a cornerback that had 173 tackles, 23.5 tackles for loss, and 4.5 sacks as a four year starter. It took one game last September for Phil Emery to quickly realize this is a player he wanted to have in a Bears uniform. He has the desire to do what he can for his team to help them win. However, he will only play cornerback, even though he has a lot of versatility. And Kyle wasn't shy about helping on special teams as well. The Bears expect him to contribute and are confident he can.

While learning a lot about the league by watching his brothers, Kyle knows his situation is different. As a first round draft pick, expectations are high for him to make a difference right away. But his personality fitting into the locker room is key, for Emery and for Trestman. By growing up around the game, Fuller understands the professionalism it takes to be a part of the NFL. This truly appeals to the Bears and the kind of locker room they are building too.

However, it's only the beginning. Emery is giddy about his next 6 picks. This is his Super Bowl. Let's see if he wins it come September.
