OAK BROOK, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) - Three masked burglars took more than $100,000 in jewelry from a department store at Oak Brook Mall in the western suburbs last Wednesday.

Police responded to an activated burglary alarm about 4:30 a.m. at Lord & Taylor, 180 Oakbrook Center Mall, and found thieves had forced their way into the store, according to a statement from Oak Brook police.

Surveillance video in the store shows three suspects wearing masks and gloves, police said in a release Monday.

More than 150 pieces of jewelry and watches were taken, valued at more than $100,000, police said.

Police do not believe the burglary is related to other similar incidents, the release said.
