Police looking for leads in Demetrius Wright murder

Posted: Updated:
ATLANTA - Demetrius Wright, 32, was shot in the area of Cheshire Bridge and I-85 almost two months ago. Wright was taken to Grady Hospital where he fought to survive for three weeks.

Wright passed away from his injuries last month and police are still looking for his killer.

Wright's fiancé and investigators are now trying to draw attention to the case to hopefully find new leads.

Police said that Wright was driving along Cheshire Bridge when a grey Pontiac Grand Prix pulled up beside him and opened fire.

Police are handing out flyers all over town offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to an arrest.

Anyone with information about the case is encouraged to contact Atlanta Police or call Crimestoppers.
