Posted: Updated:
IRVING, Texas -

Three families were forced out of their homes after a fire damaged their apartments.

The 911 call was made just before 10:00 p.m. Friday about the fire at the Broadmor Villa Apartments at 5050 Courtside Dr. in Irving.

The three alarm fire was especially challenging because of the wind, according to Irving firefighters.

Four apartments were damaged at the two story apartment complex. Damage to the affected apartments is extensive and most of the people who lived inside lost everything.

Nobody was hurt. The Red Cross is assisting the people who are displaced. Investigators are looking for a cause.
