A possible drowning victim still hasn't been found

Posted: Updated:
LEWISVILLE, Texas - Game Wardens say they’re looking for a drowning victim in Lewisville Lake, the search ended Saturday evening, but crews will be back out at first light on Sunday.  The drowning happened Friday evening when a boat started taking on water off of West Lake Park.

A man and woman were in the boat, the woman was wearing a life jacket but the man wasn’t.  She was able to get to shore but the man apparently went under water and never resurfaced.  That man has been identified at Blake Taylor Long of Little Elm.

The search will continue Sunday morning in the most popular part of the lake, The Party Cove.  It’s believed that alcohol was involved.

Lake levels are also playing a part in how dangerous the lake is this year.  The Denton County Sheriff’s Office says lake levels are down ten feet from last year, and tree stumps just below the waters surface can be very dangerous, especially at night.

Dive teams will be used along with side scan sonar when the search resumes Sunday.
