Real estate agent pleads guilty to burglary and theft

Posted: Updated:

A local real estate agent has pleaded guilty to multiple counts of burglary and theft.

Police say he took from local families who opened their doors and trusted him with their homes.

Ray Glen Greene has been sentenced to 20 years, 8 of which he’ll spend behind bars.

Greene finally slipped up when one of his victims, a Cobb County police captain, saw him leaving his house when he wasn’t supposed to be there. That officer then noticed his wife’s wedding band was gone and investigators started putting pieces together.

Knowing he was caught, prosecutors say Greene didn’t fight the accusations. They even say Greene told them he’d lost track of how many homes he’d stolen from.
