Gunman Jumps Counter To Rob Philly Fast-Food Place

SOUTHWEST PHILADELPHIA -

Philadelphia Police are looking for two suspects who robbed a Church's Chicken in the Southwest section of the city.

On June 2 at around 6:20 p.m., two unknown men entered Church’s Chicken located at 5818 Woodland Avenue armed with handguns demanding money.

Police say the first suspect jumped over the counter and began to struggle with the store manager while the second suspect took an undisclosed amount of money from a safe. Both men then took off from the location through the back door and were last seen south towards adjacent railroad tracks.

The manager of the Church’s Chicken, a 33 year-old male, suffered minor lacerations to his face and head.

The first suspect is described Black male, 19-23 years-of-age, 5’9”, 140 lbs., beard, dark complexion, wearing a green hooded sweatshirt. The second suspect is described to be a black male, 19-23 years-of-age, 6’1”, thin build, wearing a dark blue hooded sweatshirt, and a purple mask.
