Teen injured in crash gets hospital graduation ceremony

Posted: Updated:

A Garland ISD high school senior's spirits were lifted when classmates, teachers and family visited him in the hospital for his graduation.

Josh Farmer, a senior at Lakeview Centennial High School, was injured last month when a car crashed into a McDonald’s while he was having lunch with friends.

Farmer is still in intensive care and recovering from his injuries, but he received his diploma in a special ceremony on Friday.

Farmer is scheduled to have his ninth surgery in three weeks this weekend while his friends are graduating.

Doctors at Baylor University Medical Center Dallas expect Farmer to make a full recovery and be out of the hospital in a few weeks.
