Posted: Updated:
Milltown, New Jersey (My9NJ) - Yoav Nessim is a professional when it comes to competing in the Special Olympic Games. In fact, this is his 16th year being involved as a cyclist with the Special Olympics and he plans to race his way towards the finish line this year in his home-state. He will be competing in the 5K, 10K and 15K bike races and he says that he is in it to win it!

“Go Team USA,” he chanted before hitting the road to show off his talent.

Nessim has been training very hard to get to where he is today. He will not only be competing against New Jersey residents but also athletes from across the country.

This year is extra special for Nessim because his 28th birthday falls right in the middle of the competition on June 19th!

Aside from cycling, Nessim also plays basketball and he’s a hard working off the bike and court as well. He currently works at his local Stop-N-Shop 3 days a week.

Good Luck Yoav!!

Recently, Chasing New Jersey uncovered a privacy violation by the NJDEP and Parks Police at Liberty State Park. There, police were putting social security numbers on parking tickets and citations that were being left on vehicles for anyone to see. Well now the ACLU has sent a letter to the NJDEP telling them to stop with this practice because it's against people's constitutional rights. ACLU Legal Director Edward Barocas further discussed the organizations involvement.
