Cereal for dinner? Marketing increases as sales slow

Posted: Updated:
Cereal companies are trying to increase sales by marketing their product as a healthy snack.

Although that bowl of crunch is still the number one breakfast item in America, cereal sales are down compared to last year.

Companies like General Mills are using family ads that include parents eating cereal with kids.

Marketers are also pushing the traditional morning meal as a way to keep from eating something unhealthy at night.
