A jogger has found an 8-month-old girl abandoned in a car safety seat after she was the subject of an Amber Alert, FOX 26 News has learned. Police conducted a search for 8-month-old Genesis Haley after someone stole a vehicle with her inside.

The Texas Center for the Missing issued the Houston Regional Amber Alert for Haley on behalf of the Houston Police Department at 3:10 a.m. Monday.

Haley, who has sandy brown hair, was last seen wearing white pants, a white T-shirt and four barrettes in her hair when she was in her mother's 2004 green four-door Saturn Ion at a Texaco fuel station on 1110 North Sam Houston Parkway West early on Monday morning when the vehicle was stolen.

Police later found the vehicle on Greens Parkway.

Anyone with information about the child or suspect is asked to immediately call the Houston Police Department at 713-308-3600.
