DPD: Teen abduction, sex assault didn't really happen

Posted: Updated:
UPDATE: Dallas police said Wednesday that an alleged abduction and sex assault of a 14-year-old girl reported earlier this week did not really happen. The department said she's been referred "to agencies that are better equipped to provide her with assistance for the difficult life challenges she is facing."

Original story

Police are searching for a child predator armed with a knife who reportedly kidnapped and sexually assaulted a 14-year-old girl on Monday.

Police say around 11:30 a.m. on Monday, the teen victim got off a school a bus and was walking in the 5900 block of Wisdom Creek Drive.

The suspect approached her, forced her into his vehicle, drove somewhere close by, parked and sexually assaulted her. Afterward, he forced her out of the vehicle.

The suspect is described as being about 30 years old, black and about 5-foot-10 with a skinny/muscular build. He had a full beard, low cut hair and was wearing a black shirt with dirty blue jeans that had grass stains in the knees.

The front thigh part of the jeans looked to be smeared with white paint.

The suspect is believed to drive an older, four-door black truck with rust on the hood and on the passenger side. The interior is described as being gray cloth and dirty with a lot of trash on the floorboard.

Anyone with information on the suspect or vehicle is asked to call 214-671- 4299.
