Roselle man charged after pot found during traffic stop

LISLE, Ill. (Sun-Times Media Wire) -

A Roselle man was arrested Friday after police allegedly found he had cannabis on him during a traffic stop in west suburban Lisle.

Eric V. Smitherman, 19, was charged with possession of cannabis and possession of drug paraphernalia following a traffic stop at 6:37 a.m. near Route 53 and Smith Road, Lisle police said in a statement.

Smitherman, of the 600 block of Springfield Drive in Roselle, was released on bond pending, police said.
