Cobb County officials have also upgraded Harris' child cruelty charge to "Cruelty to Child" in the second degree.
Last week, sources close to the investigation told FOX 5 reporter Kaitlyn Pratt "this is just the tip of the iceberg. There's more than what meets the eye."However, investigators have not yet revealed any additional details in the case since the initial report was issued.
The Cobb County Office of the Medical Examiner is expected to release the autopsy results sometime Tuesday.
The child's father, 34-year-old Justin Ross Harris was booked into the Cobb County Detention Center on felony murder and cruelty to children charges after Cooper was discovered, by his father, dead after being in a hot car for hours.
A Cobb County police spokesman said the father left for work at 8:30 a.m. Wednesday and was supposed to drop his son off at a daycare. He discovered the child's lifeless body after work .
Investigators believe the boy was alone in the hot car for roughly seven hours.
The toddler will be buried in a private family ceremony in Tuscaloosa on Saturday.
