Posted: Updated:

Dallas police are searching for a suspect who impaled cats on a metal fence.

Police said two cats were impaled through their hind legs on a six-foot metal fence at an apartment complex in the 2900 block of Remond Drive on June 27.

Dallas Fire-Rescue was able to free both cats, but one ran away after being removed from the fence. The second cat was taken by Dallas Animal Services. It had to be euthanized due to its injuries.

Dallas police describe the suspect as a Latin male, age 25 to 35 and fled the scene in a white four-door Honda Accord.

People with tips in the case are asked to call Detective Ira Carter at 214-671-0633.
