Report: Rome woman steals ambulance, recovered at bar

ROME, Ga. - Rome police said 49-year-old woman stole an ambulance from the Etowah Terrace Senior Residences on Saturday.

Penny Lynn Malone was charged with interference with government property and theft by receiving stolen property, according to reports.

Police said Malone and the ambulance was recovered at the Opis Roadhouse around 1:00 a.m. on Saturday.

The vehicle belongs to the Floyd Medical Center. Police believe Malone may have made a false call to get the ambulance to come to the Etowah Terrace Senior Residence.
