Prostitution bust: Suspect allegedly advertised services online

PHOENIX (KSAZ) -

A valley woman was charged with prostitution involving an undercover sting, but the crimes were happening at a location where you wouldn't expect to find a house of prostitution.

The woman allegedly used the web site Backpage.com to advertise her services. It's basically like Craigslist.org, but sometimes, according to investigators, the posts advertise illegal sex acts using code words -- and that's what 44-year-old Angela Adams Mills was allegedly doing -- using code words like "home run" to mean going all the way with a client.

Police say an undercover detective answered her ad and showed up to her north Phoenix massage parlor, which is located in an office complex.

According to the police report, the woman and the undercover detective agreed upon a rate of $300 for a "home run."  But before the service, the detective said he had to use the restroom located outside the massage parlor.  That's when he gave the signal to detectives standing by to make an arrest.  But before they could, the woman apparently locked her business door.

According to court records, she opened the door 30 minutes later, but at that time, had erased her rates and service from the white board in her parlor.

Mills faces several counts for prostitution.
