Microbursts strike, storms cause damage around valley

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Monsoon 2014 strikes again. In the east valley, downed trees covered the streets trees fell on cars and a semi was even tipped on its side.

Those in Chandler got the brunt of Sunday's storms. Downed trees could be seen while driving trough the city's neighborhoods on Monday.

The winds from the storm were so powerful that they knocked over a semi and trailer that were both parked near the 202 and Higley.

Luckily no one was inside at the time and no one else was hurt.

Just miles away near Warner and McQueen, dozens of trees and branches littered the streets and one fell on a man's truck.

No one was hurt and the truck wasn't severely damaged.

The National Weather Service confirmed as many as three microbursts are to blame for the damage.
