Robbery suspect hurt when car hits house

FORT WORTH, Texas - An attempted robbery ended with a truck running into a home in north Fort Worth.

Police said a man with a knife tried to rob two people in the truck Wednesday night at about 10:30 p.m.

The driver took off with the suspect clicking to the side of the truck. He lost control and ran into a home that’s near Riverside Drive and Basswood Boulevard.

Police said the armed robber was critically injured. The men in the truck were also injured, but not seriously.

The family at the home, a young couple and their 15-month-old son, were not hurt.

The case is still under investigation.
