PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Phoenix police say a man who flashed a gun at a fast food restaurant early Friday morning and then barricaded himself inside a condominium is in custody.

The suspect allegedly lost his phone and thought an employee at Filiberto's restaurant near 7th Street and Glendale Avenue had taken it.

Phoenix Police Sgt. Steve Martos says the man began tapping a gun on the drive thru window  nd then pointed it at the employees.  The man later left the scene.

The employees called the police, who found the man at the Canyon Gate condos near 16th Street and Northern.  His vehicle had collided with a tree at the entrance to the complex.

Authorities believe he was possibly impaired.

Martos says officers saw him in one of the condos and believes he may have been asleep during part of the standoff. When he realized police were there, he eventually came out and the barricade situation ended peacefully.

The man was taken into custody and faces aggravated assault charges.  His name was not released.
