BALCH SPRINGS, Texas - A woman is facing charges of intoxication manslaughter after a crash killed one person and hurt five others in Balch Springs.

It happened Sunday night at about 11 p.m. on the LBJ Freeway just north of Highway 175.

Police said witnesses told them the woman cut off a pickup truck with her car. The truck spun out of control, crashed and rolled.

One woman in the truck, 30-year-old Juliana Reynosa, was flown to a hospital where she later died.

Five other people in that truck, including a 2-year-old child and two infants, suffered minor injuries. All were taken to a hospital.

Police said 40-year-old Taneka Keichon Birdwell was the driver of the car.

She was not hurt and was arrested after failing a field sobriety test.
