Missing Teen Returns After Nine Months

Posted: Updated:

CONWAY, NH- After missing for nine months, a New Hampshire teenager, Abby Hernandez, is now home and safe according to her family.

Her reunion with family comes after months of man-hours, looking for this teenager.

But there are still many questions if not more, about what happened to her.

Happy and unexpected news came in from Conway, New Hampshire.

The "Bring Abby Home" web page declared the news.

The Hernandez family says Abby is safe and thanking everyone who helped search for her.

The New Hampshire attorney general's office and the FBI released a statement saying the 15-year-old who vanished on October 9th came home Sunday night.

Investigators would not say how or why Abby came home.

And officials would not say why she left, as all of that is under investigation.

And that leaves a lot of unanswered questions especially in Abby's home town.

Searchers and investigators kept coming up empty handed.

Then a letter from Abby to her mom arrived in November.

But investigators would not share its contents - leading to more questions.

Was Abby abducted? Did she run away?

Investigators say they are looking for the same answers.

But tonight for the first time in 9 months residents in Conway say now that Abby is home they feel safer.
