A man was killed early Sunday morning after someone broke into his home, according to Fort Worth police.

A man in his 20's broke into the home in the 2900 block of Cortez Drive just after 2:00 a.m. A man in his 50's was killed and his roommate, who is in his 70's, was injured, Fort Worth police said.

When officers arrived, they heard glass breaking and chased the suspect into the back yard. He was bloody and naked. He ran to a white truck parked on an adjacent street and was caught. He appeared to be high, Fort Worth police said.

A third man who had been at the home was later found at Harris Hospital. His connection to the incident isn’t known.
