A summer program participant said she was sexually assaulted on the SMU campus, according to SMU officials.

The program, Creative Solutions, is a summer camp for at-risk teens held at SMU and encourages teens to express themselves through art.

The young woman, whose age was not identified, said she was assaulted by another member of the program about 5 p.m. on July 29 in the men’s restroom close to the lobby of the Bob Hope Theater in the Owens Art Center.

SMU said the suspect, who is a juvenile, was removed from campus while the case was investigated by SMU Police.

SMU Police said anyone with information is asked to contact them at 214-768-3333.
