Police: Man poses as a realtor, pocketing down-payments

Posted: Updated:
PHOENIX (KSAZ) - Police say he poses as a realtor but is really just a con-man, defrauding families out of thousands of dollars.

Phoenix Police are trying to track down 31-year-old Alfredo Gandarilla. Police say he helps the victims find a home they want to buy and then asks for a down payment up front.

The victims handed over their money, and then Gandarilla allegedly disappears.

Police say there have been at least eight victims who paid out $1,500 to $11,000; he tends to target the Hispanic community.

Anyone who thinks they were a victim or know about the suspect should call Silent Witness at 480-WITNESS.
