Another day with triple digit heat... but it's August in Texas. Heat Advisory until 7 PM for much of North Texas as the heat index rises to +105°. Today's high will be very similar to yesterday, around 102°, with mostly sunny skies and south winds 8-12 mph.
Also similar to yesterday, the chance for rain stands at about 10% for areas south of I-20 and 20% for areas north. Thunderstorms will contain heavy downpours and possibly strong winds. A few storms may be severe, but only for a short period of time.
Monday brings a change in the pattern as a cold front to our north sags south and increases rain chances to 30%. Highs will still be in the low triples, but Tuesday brings a small break with highs only in the mid 90s and a 20% chance of rain. The 'break' only lasts for a few days as the hundred degree temps return by next weekend.
